You don't want to see your lovely dog suffering from overweight or unhealthy condition. You need read more carefully about ingredients and nutrition labels of each pet food before purchasing.

Right now, many stores provide low-fat dog food for your weight conscious doggy. Low-fat dog food must contain no more than a 9% fat content, said the Association of American Feed Control Officials guidelines. If you still not carefully choose your dog food, here are some advises.

Choosing low-fat dog treats:

Many pet stores now selling low-fat treats such as "Blue dog bakery live well super premium natural low-fat dog treats," this $4.69 to $4.99's treats contain about 70 to 100 calories per treat with 9% fat. Its ingredients include peanuts, carrots, sweet potatoes, apples, broccoli and spinach.
"Fromm's four star low-fat cranberry liver treats" costs $2.99 to $3.99 per six oz and it has about one calorie per treat and 4% fat. This treat has lower fat and is suitable for training dogs containing cranberries, liver, salt and garlic power, and wheat flour.
"Old Mother Hubbard just vegg'n low-fat dog biscuits" costs $4.79 for 20 oz and it has 10 calories per treat and 3% fat. The ingredients contain sweet potatoes, oatmeal, carrots and apples.
"Three Dog Bakery low-fat apple oatmeal Bark'n Fetch biscuits" costs $5.25 per 16 oz has 8% fat containing whole wheat flour, rolled oats, apples, molasses, cinnamon and rosemary extract.
